This course covers the installation and commissioning of LPG gas storage vessels and controls (Single LPG Supply) with up to and including 63mm pipework.
Tests gas safety competence in gas storage vessel connections, controls and safety requirements, PE electro fusion jointing, sizing external above and below ground pipework.
Where multiple gas supplies are to single dwellings and installation volume and pipe size is within scope of BS 6891 tests for tightness within BS 6891 may be applied. Operatives involved in installing gas supplies above scope of volumes/pipe sizes within BS 6891 will, in addition, need the TPCP1 qualfication.
Covers sizing of external above ground and unjointed buried below ground pipework of over 0.1 m3 in volume for multiple gas supplies.
Anyone involved in or wanting to become involved in the installation and commissioning of LPG bulk storage vessels (single & multiple supply e.g. distribution network) where installation volume and pipe size are within the scope of Liquid Gas UK CoP 22.
PLEASE NOTE: For anyone involved in or wanting to become involved in the installation and commissioning of LPG gas storage vessels and controls (Single LPG Supply) only up to and including 32mm Pipework, we also offer the VESLP1 assessment.
Candidates will need to have either successfully completed the core LPG assessment (CCLP1), or conversion from natural gas to LPG assessment, as well as the VESLP1 assessment or be able to provide sufficient evidence that they have passed this assessment at another college or assessment centre.

Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will be certificated under the ACS scheme for the installation and commissioning of LPG gas storage vessels and controls (Single and multiple LPG Supply) with up to and including 63mm Pipework.
It is an open book assessment and it is therefore highly recommended that candidates undertaking it have a relevant up-to-date gas publication.
