OFTEC Oil 101, 105e & 600A Assessment Package

Introduction

This is an assessment package designed for experienced operatives.

This course is designed to provide operatives with an up-to-date refreshment of regulations and the health and safety aspects of installing, commissioning and maintaining domestic pressure-jet oil fired appliances and oil tanks.

PLEASE NOTE: OFTEC 102 (vaporising) is NOT included in this package. This is due to the fact that anyone who has not undertaken work on vaporising appliances before is recommended to undertake our vaporising training course. Course objectives/key benefits

The aim of this course is to ensure that the operative has a solid background and enough practical knowledge in oil to perform the everyday tasks of a competent oil operative.

Who is the course aimed at?

Any experienced oil operatives, or GAS SAFE registered heating system operatives wishing to undertake pressure-jet oil commissioning or servicing (PLEASE NOTE: Proof of previous qualifications will be required at the start of the course).

Anyone new to the oil industry should consider attending our OFTEC 50 introductory oil course for new entrants.

Entry requirements/pre-requisites

Candidates undertaking this course must either be experienced oil operatives, or GAS SAFE registered heating system operatives

Course content

This assessment covers the following:

Course duration

Two days of training are available for this OFTEC oil training package.

Two days (in addition to any training undertaken) should be sufficient to complete the OFTEC 101, 105E and 600A assessments.

Training Method

This is an assessment only.

Anyone requiring training needs to consider undertaking the OFTEC 50 introductory oil course for if they are new to the oil industry and/or the OFTEC 105E, OFTEC 600A and OFTEC 101 training courses as applicable.

Course Outcome/Qualification

Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will be eligible to apply to join the OFTEC competent persons scheme
