Fire Warden training course

Introduction

This course provides delegates with an understanding of what causes fires to occur, how to prevent a fire from happening, what their responsibilities are as a Fire Warden, and what to do in the event of a fire. It will also enable delegates to undertake an efficient and orderly evacuation of their building in an emergency situation.

Course objectives/key benefits

On completion of this course delegates will understand the basic fire hazards and how to minimise them within the workplace as well as how to undertake successful evacuation of the builing.

Who is the course aimed at?

Anyone wishing to wishes to undertake the role of a fire warden/marshal and needs to understand what the legal requirements are.

Although there is no formal assessment a question paper related to fire safety is given to each candidate to complete at the end of the course.

Course Outcome/Qualification

Candidates will receive a SWAAT certificate in fire safety and the role of the fire warden
