The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 lays down a legal requirement for every employer to 'train those of his employees who are, or who are liable to be, exposed to asbestos or those who supervise or manage such employees’.
This training course has been approved by UKATA for anyone undertaking non-licensed work with asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), such as (but not limited to) plumbers, heating engineers, cable installers, shop fitters, painters and decorators, architects or surveyors.
PLEASE NOTE: Delegates attending this course must have completed a half-day asbestos awareness session within six months prior to attending this course and must be able to provide a copy of their UKATA certificate.
To enable anyone who will knowingly be working with Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACMs), where that work is not classified as "licensable work with asbestos" under The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, to protect themselves and others from the risks associated with asbestos.
