EAL V1 Internal Verifiers Award
Introduction
The V1 award is a single QCF unit which replaces the D34 unit. The revised standards are designed to reflect the requirements of Internal Verifiers in all occupational sectors, and are the benchmark of good practice in the Internal Verification of QCF qualifications.
Course Objectives/Key Benefits
V1 is a nationally recognised and widely used competence based programme that enables individuals to conduct internal quality assurance checks of the assessment process. This unit also contributes towards a QCFLevel 3 and Level 4 in Learning and Development.

Anyone wishing to carry out internal verification.
Entry Requirements/Pre-requisites
Candidates should hold a recognised and current A1 Assessors Award qualification.

* Definition of the performance criteria and the assessment requirements of V1
* Definition of verification
* Identification of assessors training needs
* Allocation of candidates to assessors
* Types of support for assessors
* Documentation for verification
* Monitoring of assessment process
* Liaison with External Verifier
* Quality assurance
Course Duration
This is an ongoing process which has a maximum time limit of three years for completion.

Assessment
Candidates are required to compile a portfolio of evidence and will also need to undertake observed assessments.
Course Outcome/Qualification
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive an EAL Level 3 V1 Verifier's Award.
