The hot water safety training course is designed for those who wish to install vented and unvented domestic hot water storage systems, in line with appropriate Building Regulations and Standards.
The course provides the relevant knowledge and understanding required to install, commission or service vented or unvented cylinders (or any other mains water fed appliance) to self-certify their work in accordance with Part G3 of the Building Regulations.
Unvented hot water training and certification is a requirement for any plumber who wants to work on unvented hot water systems. Part G3 of the Building Regulations define unvented hot water systems as a “controlled service”. This is an assessment only and successful completion will allow delegates to install, commission or service unvented cylinders (or any mains water fed appliance) and self-certify their work in accordance with Part G3 of the Building Regulations.
The course is aimed at individuals with a plumbing background or related trade interested in becoming involved in unvented and open-vented hot water systems
Evidence of the existing qualification must be provided by way of a certificate or their operative's card.
