Temperature and pressure relief valve on an unvented hot water cylinder

Unvented Hot Water Reassessment

Introduction

The hot water safety training course is designed for those who wish to install vented and unvented domestic hot water storage systems, in line with appropriate Building Regulations and Standards.

Course objectives/key benefits

The course provides the relevant knowledge and understanding required to install, commission or service vented or unvented cylinders (or any other mains water fed appliance) to self-certify their work in accordance with Part G3 of the Building Regulations.

Unvented hot water training and certification is a requirement for any plumber who wants to work on unvented hot water systems. Part G3 of the Building Regulations define unvented hot water systems as a “controlled service”. As such, it is a legal requirement that all unvented hot water installations are notified to the local Building Control department.

This is an assessment only and successful completion will allow delegates to install, commission or service unvented cylinders (or any mains water fed appliance) and self-certify their work in accordance with Part G3 of the Building Regulations.

PLEASE NOTE: This course can be undertaken 'on-site' at the delegates' premises. Please contact our office on 01579 348544 or info@swaat.co.uk for further details.
