BPEC Unvented Domestic Hot Water for New Entrants
Introduction
Unvented hot water is one of the fastest growing sectors of the U.K. Unvented systems are fed directly from the cold water mains supply and offer a number of benefits compared to conventional systems, such as;
- Higher pressures and flow rates at all hot taps
- Balanced hot and cold supplies
- No special terminal fittings required.
Course Objectives/Key Benefits
The course provides the relevant knowledge and understanding required to install, commission or service unvented cylinders (or any mains fed appliance with storage of over 15 litres) to self-certify their work in accordance with Part G3 of the Building Regulations.
Who is the course aimed at?
The course is aimed at individuals with a plumbing background or related trade interested in becoming involved in unvented hot water systems with a storage facility above 15 litres.

Plumbers currently practicing in industry, who do not hold an NVQ (or equivalent) but have suitable experience at this level, can also undertake this course.
