This publication is not intended to be a definitive reference source for industrial applications - to achieve that would require a library of manuals. What is apparent is that the introduction of ACS, and in particular the make-up of the Core Gas Safety Assessments COCN1 has also identified the need to clearly explain the basic principles of working in the industrial gas environment. This manual therefore concentrates on the core gas safety requirements for industrial installations, which in keeping with the terminology used in ACS is hereafter referred to as 'commercial'.
