INTRODUCTION: A two-day upgrade course designed to assist previously trained operatves to meet the Core ACS assessment requirements.
COURSE OBJECTIVES/KEY BENEFITS: On completion delegates will be able to confirm their safety awareness and competency in the contents of the course listed below in Natural Gas, LPG or Commercial Gas.
WHO THE COURSE IS AIMED AT: Previously qualified operatives to enable them to meet the Core ACS assessment requirements.
COURSE CONTENT: *Legislation and unsafe situations *Combustion and its controls *Meters *Gas pressures and flow *Domestic pipework installation *Tightness testing *Purging *Flues *Ventilation *Taking appropriate action when dealing with unsafe appliances
TRAINING METHOD Practical workshop and theory
COURSE OUTCOME/RECOMMENDATIONS Recommendation for assessment under ACS.
PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATION Candidates should be experienced to Category 1 and will need to provide evidence in the form of past certificates of competence and their CORGI card (which can be out of date).
