INSTALLATION OF DOMESTIC PRESSURE JET OIL FIRED
HEATING APPLIANCES AND TANKS

INTRODUCTION This is a practical course designed for experienced operatives. This course is designed to provide operatives with an up-to-date refreshment of regulations and the health and safety aspects of installing domestic pressure jet oil fired heating appliances and tanks. The main aim of this course is to ensure that the operative has a solid background and enough practical knowledge in oil to perform the everyday tasks of a competent oil operative. THE TRAINING OBJECTIVES Areas covered include; *Safety requirements *Codes of practice *Building Regulations *Steel and thermoplastic oil storage (more than 3500 litres) *Constructional standards *Tank fittings *Fuel feed pipe work *System design including Part L1 of the Building Regulations *Thermostatic controls *Gauges and overfill alarms *Oil contamination problems *Pipework *British Standards *Ventilation *Flues *Energy conservation COURSE OBJECTIVES/KEY BENEFITS On completion candidates will be able to demonstrate their safety awareness and competency in the contents of the course.
