City and Guilds 6020-04 - Level 3 Diploma for Non-domestic Energy Assessors (Domestic Energy Assessor Qualified)

Introduction

This programme has been designed for those who have not already qualified as Domestic Energy Assessorsand who do not intend to do so but who wish to further develop their skills and carry out Commercial Energy Assessments.

Who is the course aimed at?

Anyone already qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor who wishes to further develop their skills and carry out Commercial Energy Assessments.

Entry Requirements/Pre-requisites

This programme has been designed for those already qualified as Domestic Energy Assessor who wish to further develop their skills and carry out Commercial Energy Assessments. For those wishing to carry out commercial energy assessments without carrying out domestic energy assessments South West Assessment and Training also run an alternative non-domestic energy assessor course.

Workshop 1 - Commercial Building Construction and Survey

Workshop 2 - Building Services

Workshop 3 - Simplified Building Energy Model (SBEM)

Workshop 4 - Online Exam and On-site Assessment

Course Duration

South West Assessment and Training offer four workshops. A portfolio of evidence needs to be compiled by the candidate in their own time and therefore the length of the course largely depends upon the individual. However the portfolio must be successfully completed and signed off as such within two years from starting the course.

South West Assessment and Training offer four theory workshops and a portfolio of evidence needs to be compiled by the candidate in their own time.

Assessment

Mixture of one day workshops, home learning, portfolio compiling and practical assessment.

Course Outcome/Qualification

Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a City and Guilds 6020-04 Non-domestic Energy Assessor qualification.
