LPG 'Add-on' Assessments
Introduction
Assessments for those undertaking the LPG conversion course from domestic natural gas to LPG or sitting their LPG re-assessment.
Course Objectives/Key Benefits
On completion delegates will be able to demonstrate their safety awareness and competency in the contents of the add-ons undertaken.
Who is the course aimed at?
Those converting their existing natural gas qualifications over to LPG or those who hold up-to-date LPG ACS qualifications.
Entry Requirements/Pre-requisites
Candidates should be experienced to Category 1 and will need to provide appropriate evidence of this in the form of certificates.
Assessments Available
LAV - Leisure Accommodation Vehicles (PLEASE NOTE: This qualification is required for caravan holiday homes as well as tourer caravans and motorhomes)
B - Boats
CMC - Commercial Mobile Catering (PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will also need to hold a core commercial gas qualification or appropriate changeover as well as the relevant COMCAT qualifications)
HTRLP2 - Closed Flue LPG Gas Fires (Widney and Spinflo fires etc.)
HTRLP3 - Caravan LPG Gas Fires (Truma caravan fires etc.)
REFLP2 - Caravan LPG Refrigerators (Electrolux RM122 refrigerators etc.)
WATLP2 - Caravan LPG Water Heater (Carver Cascade 'under bench' water heaters etc.)
Course Duration
Half a day per assessment should be sufficient
Training Method
This is not a training course (assessment only). Anyone requiring training needs to consider undertaking the LPG training course and/or the CMC training course as required.
Assessment
Practical assessment(s) and multiple-choice question paper(s).
Course Outcome/Qualification
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment(s) will be certificated under the ACS scheme for the appropriate appliances for which they have been assessed.
Materials needed
It is recommended that candidates have an up-to-date Viper Gas Book, which is available direct from our office (01579 348544).
