CITY AND GUILDS HOME INSPECTOR COURSE

 

INTRODUCTION:

The Home Information Pack before marketing of the home starts. This pack will include a Home Information Pack may also contain a non-mandatory, optional, Home Condition Report. This must be prepared by a qualified and accredited Home Inspector.

COURSE OBJECTIVES/KEY BENEFITS

The aim of this course is to extend candidates' knowledge of the principles and practice of domestic building construction and services, building defects, energy efficiency and building inspection. At the end of the course candidates should be able to demonstrate a level of knowledge and understanding which will allow them to proceed to the practical training and assessment that they will require to achieve the Diploma in Home Inspection.

Learning modules are:
*Further house construction
*House defects
*Surveying practice
*Building services and Energy Efficiency

Once completed - Home inspection workshops
*Workshop 5 - Building Defects
*Workshop 6 - The Home Condition Report
*Workshop 7 - Accompanied Home Condition Reports
*Workshop 8 - Home Inspector examination including preparation

QUALIFICATION

On completion of the distance learning and practical workshops, successful completion of the assessment and success in the exam, candidates will be awarded the Diploma in Home Inspection.
