Commercial Mobile Catering (CMC) Assessment

Introduction

The assessment is designed to assess the competence of a registered installer who undertakes, or wishes to undertake work on commercial mobile catering vehicles, whether it is installation, commissioning, servicing or repairing the relevant gas appliances.

Course Objectives/Key Benefits

To ensure that the candidate holds the relevant knowledge and information required to successfully install, commission and service LPG mobile catering vehicle appliances.

Who is the course aimed at?

Anyone who currently holds the relevant ACS COMCAT and LPG qualifications.

Entry Requirements/Pre-requisites

Candidates undertaking this training/assessment must hold a current and relevant ACS core gas qualification as well as the appropriate COMCAT and LPG qualifications.

Course content

Assessment of candidate's competency in demonstrating knowledge and practical ability to;

  • Install appropriate pipework
  • Let-by test
  • Tightness test
  • Purge
  • Identify installation faults
  • Follow manufacturer's instructions
  • Commission and service LPG mobile catering vehicle gas appliances
  • Determine satisfactory requirements for ventilation

...in addition to a number of other commercial mobile catering related criteria.

Course Duration

One day should be sufficient to complete this assessment.

This is not a training course (assessment only). Anyone requiring training needs to consider undertaking the Commercial Mobile Catering training course.

Practical assessment and multiple-choice question paper.

Course Outcome/Qualification

Appropriate ACS qualification for undertaking work on commercial mobile catering vans.
