City and Guilds 2393 - Certificate in the Building Regulations for Electrical Installations in Dwellings
Introduction
This is a training course followed by an online exam which covers all aspects of Building Regulations Part P It allows successful candidates to work within the mandate of Part P and is designed for experienced electricians with existing current qualifications as an alternative to undertaking the full Part P course. It is also suitable for those who require a working knowledge of how installations can affect building construction.

Who is the course aimed at?
Experienced electricians with existing current qualifications (City and Guilds 2360 Part 1 or City and Guilds 2330 level 2 or equivalent).
Entry Requirements/Pre-requisites
Candidates should hold a 17th Edition qualification (BS7671) or equivalent (such as a City and Guilds 2360 Part 1 or City and Guilds 2330 level 2 qualification).
Course content
* Electrical safety legislation, regulations, standards and terminology
* Domestic electrical circuit installation
* Installing domestic lighting circuits
* Domestic electrical earthing and bonding requirements
* Inspecting, testing and commissioning single phase domestic electrical circuits
* Special locations and installations including kitchens
* Domestic electrical installation pre-work survey / inspection
* Basic understanding of three phase electrics

Half a day training followed by the examination
